TCBU is built and led by barbers, educators, and community leaders who show up because they genuinely believe in the mission — one fresh cut, one mentor, and one confident step at a time.
A third-generation Fort Pierce native, Gregory L. Jones Jr. founded TCBU in 2021 with a mission to ignite confidence in youth through professional self-care. With over a decade as a barber instructor at IRSC and a Master Barber License, he embodies "each one, teach one." A former CEO of MLB Barbershop 2 Inc., graduate of the Incubate Neighborhood Center CEO program, Allegheny Fellow, and proud husband to co-founder Vernea Jones and father to Gia Love and Gregory III.
With over 30 years of high-level financial expertise, Oliver Brown is the Founder and CEO of Brown Tax Preparation & Financial Services LLC. IRS-trained and Wall Street–seasoned, he has managed multi-million dollar corporations across New York and Florida. He serves with the Florida Association of Black Chambers of Commerce, is former President of the South Florida Black Chamber of Commerce, co-founded JLON REI Inc., and mentors youth through Camp About Face.
As Transit Director for St. Lucie County since 2020, Adolfo Covelli brings proven large-scale operational leadership to TCBU. With over 17 years in operations management across Southeast Florida — including overseeing 275 employees and $150 million in annual revenue for Waste Management of Dade County — he bridges the gap between community residents and economic opportunity. A dedicated husband of 25+ years and proud father to his daughter Ava.
D'Mandel Young Jr. brings 12+ years of federal service as a USDA Safety Inspector to his role as Board Secretary, along with deep expertise in regulatory compliance and organizational accountability. A 21-year youth minister who has guided hundreds of young people, he is also the Founder, CEO, and President of Young With Purpose Inc. — a nonprofit serving at-risk youth through mentorship and leadership development. He additionally serves as Business Manager for Groomed Guys, one of New York's premier mobile barbershop companies.
A distinguished educator, theologian, and spiritual leader, Dr. Williams brings over 40 years of service in the St. Lucie County School System to her role on the TCBU board. A former Senior Pastor, lifelong academic, and true "Kingdom Builder," she holds a Doctorate of Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary and multiple advanced degrees. Mother of three, grandmother of eight, and great-grandmother of seven — her commitment to TCBU is a natural extension of her life's work: guiding and uplifting the next generation.
