Every month, TCBU's volunteer barbers provide professional grooming for youth across the Treasure Coast — turning ten minutes in the chair into a lifetime of confidence, one school morning at a time. Routine maintenance is a vital part of a child's self-esteem, yet we know the daily pressures on parents can make it difficult to keep up with that regular care. For the price of a single candy bar, you can become a "Confidence Sustainer," helping us ensure that every child enters the classroom feeling ready, respected, and empowered.

A monthly contribution of just $5 ensures a local child enters the classroom with the confidence that comes from professional grooming — a small, recurring gift that creates a lifetime of impact.
TCBU was founded in Fort Pierce by a veteran barber and Master Barber instructor who witnessed firsthand how the quiet shame of inadequate grooming eroded the confidence and academic potential of local youth. Born and raised in the community, he recognized that a fresh cut is about more than aesthetics — it is a vital tool for restoring the dignity and self-respect necessary for children to walk into their future with their heads held high. By moving his expertise out of the traditional shop and into the heart of the community, he transformed a personal mission of service into a growing movement, ensuring that every local child has the reliable, professional grooming they need to face their school day with courage and confidence.
A clean cut helps a kid walk into homeroom head up, not hood up — ready to raise a hand instead of hiding.
Self-esteem doesn't start with a speech. It starts with a mirror — and a reason to like what's looking back.
First interview. First school photo. First day somewhere new. The moments that matter most start with feeling ready.
You don't need to write a big check to change a life on the Treasure Coast. You need $5, a decision, and the community behind you.

You don't need to solve every problem a child on the Treasure Coast is facing. You just need to decide that one of them deserves to feel confident today — and keep deciding it, every month, for the price of a candy bar. That's the whole ask.
