Serve With Us.

Whether you hold clippers or open doors — there's a place for you in this mission.

Why Serve

Two Ways In, One Shared Outcome

1

Make a Visible Difference

Every volunteer shift puts a young person in the chair and a mentor at their side.

2

Use Your Skills for Good

Your license, your craft, your time — applied where it matters most.

3

Build Community

Join a growing network of barbers, educators, and leaders across three counties.

For Barbers & Stylists

Your Chair. Your Craft. Their Confidence.

TCBU mobilizes licensed barbers and stylists to deliver free self-care services at community events across St. Lucie, Indian River, and Martin Counties. You bring your skills — we bring the youth, the setup, and the mission.

  • Event format: pop-up self-care stations at community events, schools, and — once complete — stops on the Mobile Self-Care Unit.
  • Typical commitment: 2–4 hours per event, scheduled in advance.
  • TCBU provides: chairs, capes, sanitation supplies, and event setup — you bring your tools and your craft.
Requirements

Valid Florida barber or cosmetology license (students currently enrolled may volunteer under direct supervision).

For Schools, Churches & Community Partners

Bring TCBU to Your Community.

Invite Treasure Coast Barbers United to serve at your school, church, community center, or civic event. We bring the barbers, the mentors, and the mission — you provide the space and the people who need us. Once the Mobile Self-Care Unit is complete, we come to you.

  • A visit includes: free haircuts, mentorship moments, resource connection, and youth engagement activities.
  • Who should reach out: school administrators, church leaders, nonprofit directors, event coordinators, and civic organizations.
